Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 is a vitamin that is naturally present in many foods. The body needs vitamin B6 for more than 100 enzyme reactions involved in metabolism. Vitamin B6 is also involved in brain development during pregnancy and infancy as well as immune function.
Scientists are studying vitamin B6 to understand how it affects health. Here are some examples of what this research has shown.
Heart disease
Some scientists had thought that certain B vitamins (such as folic acid, vitamin B12, and vitamin B6) might reduce heart disease risk by lowering levels of homocysteine, an amino acid in the blood. Although vitamin B supplements do lower blood homocysteine, research shows that they do not actually reduce the risk or severity of heart disease or stroke.
People with low levels of vitamin B6 in the blood might have a higher risk of certain kinds of cancer, such as colorectal cancer. But studies to date have not shown that vitamin B6 supplements can help prevent cancer or lower the chances of dying from this disease.
Cognitive Function
Some research indicates that elderly people who have higher blood levels of vitamin B6 have better memory. However, taking vitamin B6 supplements (alone or combined with vitamin B12 and/or folic acid) does not seem to improve cognitive function or mood in healthy people or in people with dementia.
Premenstrual Syndrome
Scientists aren’t yet certain about the potential benefits of taking vitamin B6 for premenstrual syndrome (PMS). But some studies show that vitamin B6 supplements could reduce PMS symptoms, including moodiness, irritability, forgetfulness, bloating, and anxiety.
Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy
At least half of all women experience nausea, vomiting, or both in the first few months of pregnancy. Based on the results of several studies, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends taking vitamin B6 supplements under a doctor’s care for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
Calcium Citrate
Calcium is a mineral found in many foods. The body needs calcium to maintain strong bones and to carry out many important functions. Almost all calcium is stored in bones and teeth, where it supports their structure and hardness.
The body also needs calcium for muscles to move and for nerves to carry messages between the brain and every body part. In addition, calcium is used to help blood vessels move blood throughout the body and to help release hormones and enzymes that affect almost every function in the human body.
Calcium citrate, a more expensive form of the calcium, is absorbed well on an empty or a full stomach. In addition, people with low levels of stomach acid (a condition more common in people older than 50) absorb calcium citrate more easily than calcium carbonate. Other forms of calcium in supplements and fortified foods include gluconate, lactate, and phosphate.
Collagen Hydrolyste
Is used for weight loss and for treating osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and brittle bones (osteoporosis). Some people also use it for strengthening bones, joints, and fingernails.
Also used for improving hair quality and to shorten recovery after exercise and sports-related injury.
There is some clinical evidence that Collagen Hydrolyste might relieve pain and improve joint function in patients with osteoarthritis.

L-theanine – may help relieve stress by inducing a relaxing effect without drowsiness and may also possess immunologic attributes. Theanine may also have effects on the cardiovascular system and play a preventative role in cancer; however, limited clinical information is available to support these claims.
Sensoril Ashwagandha – is used for arthritis, anxiety, trouble sleeping (insomnia), tumors, tuberculosis, asthma, a skin condition marked by white patchiness (leukoderma), bronchitis, backache, fibromyalgia, menstrual problems, hiccups, and chronic liver disease.
Melatonin – is hormone produced in the brain that helps regulate your sleep and wake cycle.
Garcinia cambogia – is a citrus fruit that grows in Southeast Asia. An extract from the fruit rind, hydroxycitric acid (HCA), has historically been used for cooking, but it’s also been used for weight loss and to lower cholesterol.
Chamomile Extract – is used for intestinal gas, travel sickness, stuffy nose, hay fever, nervous diarrhea, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), fibromyalgia, restlessness, and trouble sleeping. It is also used for digestive system disorders, stomach ulcers, colic, and menstrual cramps.
Lemon Balm – Many people believe lemon balm has calming effects so they take it for anxiety, sleep problems, and restlessness. Lemon balm is also used for Alzheimer’s disease, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), an autoimmune disease involving the thyroid (Graves’ disease), swollen airways, rapid heartbeat due to nervousness, high blood pressure, sores, tumors, and insect bites.
Ginseng Root – Ginseng is widely used for its antistress, anticancer, immune system modulation, cardiovascular, CNS, and hormonal effects, and for improvement of athletic performance
Licorice Root – is known for its antiviral, antibacterial, anti inflammatory,antispasmodic, antioxidant, antidepressant, demulcent and expectorant activity.


Chocolate Pudding Shots

Sm Chocolate Instant Pudding
¾ c Kahlua
¾ c Coconut Rum
4oz Cool Whip (Extra Creamy preferred but not required)

Whisk Kahlua and Instant Pudding together until as thick as it will get (1-2 minutes). Once it has thickened, add Liquor and whisk until all lumps and clumps are gone. Once the mixture is nice and smooth again, whisk in Cool Whip.

Fill almost ¾ of a 1oz plastic shot cup with the mixture then cover and place in the freezer.

It does take several hours to set. For BEST results, I let them set overnight. May use little ice cream tester spoons when serving them.

Oven Baked Smores

Great for the young ones to enjoy! YUM!


2 pkgs. Crescent rolls
Large Hershey bar (or other milk chocolate bar)
Bag of large marshmallows
8 squares of graham crackers, crushed
2 Tbsp. melted butter
Cupcake liners

Heat oven to 375
Put cupcake liners in muffin pan.
Crush graham crackers ahead of time and place in a shallow bowl or dish.
Melt butter, and set aside. Open up each crescent roll and place a piece of chocolate and a marshmallow at the large end. Roll up carefully, making sure
that all of the edges are pinched shut, and that no chocolate or marshmallow
is showing through. Brush rolls with melted butter, then roll into the graham
cracker crumbs. Cover completely. Place in individual cupcake liners. Bake for
10 minutes. Cool completely before serving!! Inside is very hot.

These can also be cooked on a covered outdoor grill for about 10 to 12 minutes!

1 week down hcg

So as promised….well a couple extra days later lol but life is busy here.

1 week down on my new hcg journey and drumroll please

down 15.5 lbs and 9 inches!!!  My 18s fit but not at a point I want to wear

them all day yet but oh so very very close….next week for sure!!!

…but will be traveling so probably won’t

I don’t give all credit to the HCG plan though I know it works amazing

last time I did HCG 5yrs ago I had cravings I got hungry I had detox issues

this time NONE of that 🙂

Now that said I did have a cheat day this week more because it was my sons birthday

and I didn’t want to spend it saying oh no I can’t have that or sorry its not on protocol.

So I made a personal decision to make sure the day was about him and deal

with weight gain consequences life is simply too short..

I don’t know if there was a gain but I do know my stomach didn’t appreciate

my bailing and going off eating plan. I vowed to not touch scale til right before we move

so if there was a gain I don’t set myself up for a mental failure.

I will update again next week.

We move back to Texas so just crazy here hopefully I don’t forget if I do I will update after we get moved.

Well, I know I need to be accountable to myself, so . . .
Here is my first three-month update! (Man! . . . I HATE this before pic! LOL)

I “seriously” started Skinny Fiber Dec. 22, 2014, it’s now three months later and I am overjoyed to report that I lost 18 lbs and 12.75 inches (using “basic” measurements). The main difference is how absolutely WONDERFUL I feel . . . health-wise, passive acid reflux is sooo much better and I am hopeful that it will soon be history! I also had this pain in my left butt that even physical therapy couldn’t take away. The only thing that helped was digging my thumb into the trigger point, but who can walk around with their thumb in their butt all day? LOL Now? . . . it rarely bothers me!
I am so overjoyed at how Skinny Fiber is aiding with portion control and making healthy food choices . . . my sugar cravings are totally gone and I can honestly say, for the first time EVER! . . . that I would choose an orange or apple over M&Ms! . . . that’s truly a miracle for me! And I am WANTING to exercise! Am so looking forward to getting outside to walk now that spring is here (this winter I did an indoors walking video). I am confident that after the next 90-day challenge I will report on a great improvement in my blood pressure and blood sugar readings too.
